Silversun Pickups+Eulogies=Pablove

Silversun Pickups and Eulogies decided to kick AFDI into high gear. The two bands are playing a Pablove Foundation benefit show Thursday night at the Echoplex in Echo Park. Last Friday, Pablo, Grady, Jo Ann and I stood in the wings of the Coachella stage while SSPU moved 20,000 people with their words and chords. At one point, I stood there with Pablo and pointed out the lights, and how far back the audience went, and how the crowd moved to the rhythm. Pablo smiled.

This week, SSPU and Eulogies will move 700 people in a venue two minutes from our front door. And the words and chords will blast away in Pablo's honor, but not in his presence—he'll be fast asleep
as the two bands from the gang known as Dangerbird let the world know that cancer can't hang out round here no more.

Tickets went on sale at 7 p.m. Monday and sold out in 20 minutes. We hope some of our Pablog friends got some of those tix. Either way, you can read all the details about the show
here.
